The Geneseo Cross Country and Track and Field Teams would like to thank all participants and sponsors for making the 3rd Annual Friday Knight 5k Race/Walk a huge success.

The Third Annual Friday Knight 5K Race/Walk was be held on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at 5:30 at the Geneseo Village Park. The race featured a new course through the Geneseo campus. Following the race was chicken BBQ sponsored by Geneseo Alumni Relations & the 2009 Homecoming Committee (BBQ served by the Kiwanas Club).

Proceeds of the race benefit the SUNY Geneseo Cross Country and Track & Field teams. The money raised is used to supplement the team’s budget for opportunities to travel to esteemed out-of-state meets that require overnight stays.

The Geneseo Trio

The Geneseo Trio is a 5K series featuring three races in Geneseo. The trio begins with the The Oak Tree Half Marathon and 5k on Sept. 6th. The Friday Knight 5k Race/Walk is the second event in the series on Sept. 25th. The Ramon Rocha 5K Run/Walk concludes the series on Oct. 3rd.

To participate in the Geneseo Trio, simply register and participate in each of the 5Ks. The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming will keep track of who participates in all three and will give out Geneseo Trio awards at the final event. For more information visit the Geneseo Trio website.
